Iron Hill Brewery Preps For April Opening, 100 Jobs Available

The brewing equipment arrived this week. Plus, Iron Hill will begin hiring for more than 100​ positions starting Monday.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Iron Hill Brewery in Newtown is nearing completion and on track for a late April opening, the business announced this week. The Newtown brewery and restaurant will be the chain’s 17th location and its 11th in Pennsylvania.

The brewing equipment arrived this week. Plus, Iron Hill will begin hiring for more than 100 positions starting Monday. Available positions include front and back of the house positions ranging from servers to line cooks. Four job fairs are scheduled. (More information on that is below.)

This week, Head Brewer Pete Corbett and his team installed the brewing equipment, which includes a mash tun, heating exchange, large brewing tanks, and a grain mill.

“As a Bucks County native, I’m excited to be back home brewing beer for my neighbors,” said Corbett. “This equipment will allow my team and I to to brew 50 or 60 seasonal beers throughout the year, including my favorite styles which are IPAs, Porters, Old Ale’s and German Lagers.”

The brewery at Iron Hill Newtown hopes to produce 800-900 barrels of beer annually, the company said.

Four job fairs are scheduled. The job fairs will be located at 2843 S Eagle Rd. on the following dates:

  • Monday, March 2, 2020, 9 AM - 5 PM
  • Saturday, March 7, 2020, 9 AM - 3 PM
  • Thursday, March 19, 2020, 1 PM- 6 PM
  • Tuesday, March 24, 2020, 3 PM – 8 PM
