Ionian Islands: New Flights Announced for Summer 2017

A number of new scheduled flights from abroad to the Ionian Islands, which include favorites Corfu, Kefalonia and Zakynthos, were announced for this summer by the Region of the Ionian Islands on Thursday.

Photo source: panoramio.comAlong with the new flights, the Ionian Islands will also see an increase in the frequency of flights on several existing routes, including Easyjet’s London – Kefalonia and Manchester – Kefalonia routes, Alitalia’s Linate (Milan) – Corfu route and Jet2’s Stansted (London) – Zakynthos route.

From November 2016 until today, the following additional flights to the Ionian Islands have been announced:

To Corfu

Munich – Corfu / Eurowings-Airberlin, from April 8 to October 28, every Saturday
Deauville (Normandy) – Corfu / Jetair fly, from May 3 to September 20, every Wednesday
Toulouse – Corfu / Volotea, from May 30 to September 26, every Tuesday
Berlin – Corfu / Fly Niki, from May 2, every Tuesday and Saturday
Nuremberg – Corfu / Fly Niki, from May 2, every Tuesday and Saturday
Salzburg – Corfu / Fly Niki, from May 5, every Tuesday and Saturday
Vienna – Corfu / Fly Niki, from May 5, every Tuesday and Saturday
Zurich – Corfu / Fly Niki, from May 5, every Tuesday and Saturday
Dole via Rennes – Corfu / TUI Fly Belgium, from May 3 to September 27, every Wednesday
Norwich – Corfu / Thomson Airways, from May 5 to October 27, every Friday
Aberdeen (Scotland) – Corfu / Thomson Airways, from May 5 to October 27, every Friday

Alitalia will increase the frequency of flights on the existing route of Linate (Milan) – Corfu (from two to five flights per week from August 1 to September 1).


To Kefalonia

Aalborg – Kefalonia / DAT (Danish Air Transport) from May 14, every Sunday
Copenhagen – Kefalonia / DAT (Danish Air Transport) from May 20, every Saturday
Bristol – Kefalonia / Easyjet, from April 22, every Saturday – from May 31 flights will be added on Wednesday
Bolonia- Kefalonia / Blu Express, from July 13 to September 7, every Tuesday and Thursday
Larnaca- Kefalonia / TUS airlines, from June 24 to August 29, every Tuesday and Saturday
Venice – Kefalonia / Volotea, from June 27 to July 26, every Tuesday – from July 27 to August 31 flights will operate every Tuesday and Thursday

Easyjet will increase the frequency of flights on the existing routes of Kefalonia – London (from March 28 every Tuesday and Saturday; six flights per week will operate from June 13 to July 16; daily flights will operate from July 17) and Manchester – Kefalonia (from March 18 to May 6, every Tuesday and Friday; from May 7, every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday).


To Zakynthos

Heathrow (London) – Zakynthos / British Airways, from June 3 to September 30, every Wednesday and Saturday
Stockholm – Zakynthos / Primera Air, from May 15 to September 18, every Monday
Bratislava- Zakynthos / Smartwings, from June 8 to September 28, three flights per week
Salzburg – Zakynthos / TUI Austria, one flight per week
Vienna – Zakynthos / Fly Niki, from May 2, every Tuesday
Zurich – Zakynthos / Fly Niki, from May 25, every Thursday
Glasgow (Scotland) – Zakynthos / Thomson Airways, from May 7 to October 1, every Sunday

Jet2 will increase the frequency of flights on the existing route of Stansted (London) – Zakynthos (from 2 to 4 flights per week from July 1 to September 30).


To Aktion

Vienna – Aktion / People’s Viennaline, from June 13 to September 26 – 1 flight every Tuesday
Manchester – Aktion / Easyjet from May 21 to October 22, every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday
Bologne – Aktion / Blu Express, from 19/7 to 6/9, each Wednesday.
Milan-Aktion / Blu Express, from July 7 to September 7, every Tuesday and Thursday
Vienna – Aktion / Fly Niki, from June 26, every Monday
